Apliman's History

 

 

1989: The experience of Apliman technology in computer telephony systems goes back to 1989 where some of the first professional IVR's in the world were installed. At the time, Oxycom Communications personnel designed one of the first 30 channels Single Processor Voice cards in the world.

 

1991: Oxycom Communications (formerly Oxycom Communications) was found in the heart of the Telecom Alley in Plano Texas at the end of 1990 as a telecommunications consulting firm. The main expertise was to provide Digital Signal Processing solutions to the Telecommunications market.

 

1992: Oxycom Communications formed an alliance with Dallas Signal Processing to provide a wide range of DSP products, including: FAX T.30 and V.29 protocols. Voice Compression protocols, DTMF (touch tone) decoding protocols.... This alliance gave Oxycom Communications a wider visibility, and a large number of telecommunications customers mainly based in the USA, and later on expanding to Canada and Europe.

 

1993: Oxycom Communications provided a wide range of fax related products, including FAX relay systems; we provided one of the first FAX relay protocols for the fax from the Airplane. Oxycom Communications personnel helped design and implement the first 24 channels pc fax card in the world.

 

 

1994: Oxycom Communications personnel received several patents in the computer telephony field, mainly in Voice detection, Automatic Gain Control, and Secure DTMF transmission. The first patent being received in 1993, and the latest one being in 1998.

 

 

1995: Oxycom Communications relocated to Beirut Lebanon where the main direction shifted from providing high Technology DSP algorithms to providing IVR solutions while keeping the DSP business operational.

 

 

1997: Oxycom Communications started providing IVR solutions to Lebanon, and at a later stage, expanding to the Middle East and Africa. Oxycom Communications is proud to install the very first professional IVR solution to the following countries:

          - Lebanon

          - Morocco

          - Ghana

Along with installation in other Middle Eastern and African countries.

 

1998: Oxycom Communications started building a professional design team in order to provide ready made computer telephony products, the list of products over the next few years expanded to the following:

          - Voice Loggers

          - Automated Dialers

          - Prepaid Card systems

 

1999: Oxycom Communications started the design of its new flagship product: Apliman IVR. The IVR is quickly becoming one of the best IVR solutions available to the market.

Over the next 3 years, the design of the IVR expanded the product list to:

          - Programmable Voice Mail Solution

          - Fax broadcast system, Fax on Demand

          - Added IVR capability with SMS connectivity

          - Added IVR capability with Internet connectivity

          - Call Center IVR solution

 

2001: The company operation was divided into two seperate and independent segments, one segment is becoming responsible for the design and implementation of new computer telephony products, and the other segment is to provide Computer Telephony solutions to the market.

 

2002: With a quest to gain higher visibility, Oxycom Communications and Oxycom Communications became 2 different companies, while Oxycom Communications became responsible for the Design of High Technology products; Oxycom Communications became responsible for the provision of Computer Telephony services to the Middle East and Africa.

 

2003: Our continued sucess with our clients in the Middle East and Africa region has caused Oxycom Communications to start penetrating the International market.
